An unexpected gift

An unexpected gift

After spending some time down in Oregon with my grandparents and mom’s side of the family, my sister and I stopped by to visit my Dad. His new wife, Michelle had recently purchased a D90 so we got to talking cameras, and after a few minutes he brought up his old Konica that I’d used in high school.

I had no idea he still had it and since it was the camera that got me “hooked” the memories came rushing back. He had a few long expired rolls of film in the bag, so he was glad to pass it on to someone who’d actually use it.

It’s got a great old 50mm f/1.8D lens and I can’t wait to buy a few rolls of black and white and try it out again. Well, after I clean off the dust.

That shutter brings back SO many memories. Thanks Dad!
