Vending machine glow

Vending machine glow

I couldn’t sleep tonight so to help fight the insomnia I started organizing a bunch of my old photos. I came across this one from when I was living in Japan and really liked it. It’s of a vending machine, and I’m pretty sure on some street in Morioka, Iwate.

The beverage in focus is tasty green tea.

Hey, I didn’t know you used to live in Japan. When were you there? How long for? I often miss Japan…

@Matt Robin I lived there in 2003-2004 as an assistant english teacher for high school kids on the JET program. I loved my time there, but I lived in a really rural part of Japan, so it’s nice to be back in a big city.

Ah, I see - I know the JET Program. I was there on a University Exchange program ‘99-‘00 on the edge of Tokyo. I did see bits of the countryside, but also saw lots of the big urban area too. It’s interesting to know that you did that :)
