I woke up this morning and decided I need a break from posting to Flickr for a little while. I’ll still be shooting, but I’ve gotten in the habit of shoot, download, process, upload, repeat and it’s making me a little burnt out. I think my photos are starting to suffer because of it and the fun is starting to wain. Yesterday was the first day in a long time I didn’t shoot a single photo.
So, to break the funk, I’m going to try and get ahead of the game a bit and give myself about a week before I look at my photos, which I’m hoping will give me a little better perspective and will force me to slow down when I’m out shooting.
Posting should resume in about a week. I’m pretty sure Flickr will get along fine without me.

Awesome man. I took a similar approach a little while ago when I decided to start posting more. I shoot, download and process usually in the same day, but I’ll never post up to Flick until at least a few days of staring at the photo and making sure it sits right with me.
And then I try to only do a few a week max. The nice part is that I end up with a que of images sitting in Aperture that I’ll eventually post some day … but I get to enjoy them myself for quite awhile before the general public tells me how much they suck haha!
Looking forward to seeing the new stuff :)

@Josh Bryant Yeah, it was long overdue. Thanks for the encouragement, and I might try to at least get the photos off the camera each day so I don’t end up with a backlog of organizational work. I just want to let things sit and forget about what I was thinking when I took them. Hopefully, I’ll have a better eye when going back through my shots.
@to ang, with love Thanks!

Are you done, yet?! (;
I’m teasing, hope you’re enjoying the break.

@dotsara Yeah, yeah. The break was good, but I’m ready to start posting a few more again.
