The day before my birthday Mr. Sims was kind enough to invite me to a Golden State Warriors game where they were playing my beloved Portland Trailblazers. The seats were only a few rows back, so I was able to get right up in the action.

The Blazers looked incredible in the first quarter, Oden look unstoppable only to be plagued by foul trouble early and in the end the Blazers got beat badly.

It was still a great to be so close, it really is a whole different experience down there. Now though, with Oden out for the year my high hopes for the season are starting to wane, but I’m trying to stay positive.

Just don’t mention Sam Bowie around me.
