Okay, Polaroid friends, question: when you scan your Polaroids (or “Polas” as the kids say), do you scan at a redonkulously hi DPI? or do you scan low-res just for posting to the Internets? Or what? spill!
I’ve got a decent system at the office (Dual 2GHz G5 w/ 5GBRAM), so not too horrendously long. The fun part is waiting for those to print on the Epson plotter at like 2000dpi. Awesomeness in waiting.

16bit color, 4800dpi, at actual size. results in a 12000x12000 pixel image. i scan that hi-res to make retouching any dust easy.
plus, 20in x 20in @ 400dpi = 8000 px.
files end up about 600mb
