thanks for the comments everyone! fountaincoke - during the winter, LA county moves many of the hibernating lifeguard stands together. not really sure why, perhaps its easier to keep an eye on them to prevent vandalism. the three stands in this shot have already been dispersed for the spring/summer since this shot was taken.

ahh. i lived there for a year and never saw them together! or i guess i didn’t notice. i was just out there this past week and looked all over for 3 together, no wonder i didn’t find them!
