carie - this was actually at the tulip fields! but i grew up in forest grove and there were hazelnut orchards just like this all over the place.

it was? how did i miss this?! i love these types of orchards. you see them all over washington county and they are so beautiful. what a treat to grow up with those sights! i did notice that there seemed to be a lot of hazelnut shells on the walking paths at the tulip fields..man, now i’ll have to go check that place out again. :p
