Baltimore Convention Center Abstract

While shooting RailsConf 2010 in downtown Baltimore—keynotes, crowds, and lots of people shots—I gave myself 15 seconds of time to make a photograph for myself while riding down an escalator. This is the result.

Thanks man! I was in mid-conversation with Mike so it took me a moment or three extra to sort out that I was going to make this shot. :)

These are hard to get. Doing ‘Malevich’ with a camera WHILE on an escalator is tough, but the result is very interesting.

I wonder if you had to crop and rotate the image…

Great use of vignetting also.

I cropped ever so slightly to get ride of a bugaboo on one edge, if I recall. Not much tho. Then a vignette (as you pointed out) and I reduced saturation way down. The original image was more yellowish/greenish.
