Thanks for this article, it is great to see that there are other people who have similar opinions on personal publishing. Definitely I will have a look into Django.

I have been using WordPress for some time, but I'm getting tired of customizing and troubleshooting themes, templates etc. Yet I haven't managed to build a satisfactory aggregated view of my online publishing (Flickr, delicious, upcoming, last.fm etc). I would like to try other platforms too, but getting to know new frameworks always takes some time, which is scarce when freelancing for work. Also it would be helpful to have those technical gurus nearby in case of trouble!
