“After my father passed away, my mother said she couldn’t imagine living on her own. For months she would stay at the side of my father’s gravesite. She didn’t know what else to do. Sunburns and bug bites weren’t enough to keep her away. Despite the lingering pain and subsequent fear, my mother grew to learn that she could go on. She would call me with triumph in her voice explaining how she went to the DMV and Social Security office all on her own. She lives in Bakersfield, CA and I take the 5 North through the farmlands to visit her. On one trip to visit her, I noticed a lone tree along the highway that reminded me of her. It was in early spring and there was a tree that was just beginning to sprout. It was a new season, and despite the cold winter days, that tree and my mother still blossomed.” I’m going to have a difficult time not buying one of these.
Love the deer, so hopefully she’ll do reprints.
Minimal line drawings on sustainable materials.
Lovely, simple idea, gorgeous execution.

Laura Brunow Miner has been helping me a ton curating some beautiful photos for her new series over on the newly relaunched Level & Tap.
I love photography and I love it printed.
Originally, I started Level & Tap as a fun way to sell a few of my prints online, but shortly after I launched it I realized I couldn’t post enough photos to have people keep coming back to the site. There’s only so many of my photos I felt would look good printed, and I wanted to keep the quality of the site high.

Looks like a fantastic letterpress studio. They even do custom printing.
“Are you sad that Polaroid is getting out of the Polaroid business? Me too. So I made this series of prints to commemorate the evolution of polaroid cameras used by such famous folks as Ansel Adams and my mom.” Saved for when I’m flush with cash at some point in the future.
Some awesome 8”x8” prints for $15 from Frank Chimero that depict each state using everyday things. I can’t wait to see Oregon and Washington.
“i’m glad you’re having a BABY and i’m not.” And more fantastic letter-pressed cards from Zeichen Press.
I’m finding it hard not to buy one of these right now.
He’s coming to show his work here in Seattle on March 6th, but I’m curious if it’ll run for a few weeks since I’ll be at SXSW. I’ve been following his Flickr stream for a while now and would love to get one of his prints. Anyone know the details?
A great collection of infographics for purchase although the online viewing leaves a lot to be desired.
