“I realized recently that what one thinks about in the shower in the morning is more important than I’d thought. I knew it was a good time to have ideas. Now I’d go further: now I’d say it’s hard to do a really good job on anything you don’t think about in the shower.” Completely agree.
I like to archive mail instead of deleting it. Gmail brought this into vogue a few years back and with their unlimited storage it’s almost silly to delete anything but a few spam messages and the most mundane emails. The problem is I also like to use Mail.app as my email client. So in order for me to archive email I’ve had to drag every message into Gmail’s All Mail folder.
“How can you make today better? Do it again the next day. Put it on your calendar. Spend two minutes thinking about this each morning.” I’ve heard things similar to this before, but this is a great reminder.
“It’s the simplest manifestation of what a day planner is all about: time on paper.” I wish Seattle would get a Muji store soon.
If I ever need to ask a boss for a new display again I’m coming armed with this.
