Gorgeous stuff.
Filed for future inspiration.
Pick up that Neon/LED for your studio that you’ve always wanted.
“Modern Graphic Design Collection and Rare Graphic Design Books.” I think I could spend all day surfing around this site.
“BARNA is a type family designed by Andreu Balius (2010-2011). It is intended for long running reading text. It’s simple and rational flavour makes it appropiate for technical literature contents.” Love the forms and the number of weights. Having an entire stencil version is pretty fantastic as well.
“The Case & Point is a curated selection of custom type design and lettering created for a specific project or use. Through a combination of short entries, interviews and in-depth features, TC&P provides a platform for type and graphic designers to showcase work that falls outside the sphere of retail type design.” Beautiful stuff.
Love the letting, but I do have a soft spot for the old one.

“Building a palette is an intuitive process, but expanding a typographic duet to three, four, or even five voices can be daunting. Here are four tips for navigating the typographic ocean, all built around H&FJ’s Highly Scientific First Principle of Combining Fonts: keep one thing consistent, and let one thing vary.” Great advice from H&FJ.
“Reimagining the Roman Coliseum with type.”
This is just gorgeous.
“Priori Acute is the latest addition to the Priori family. It is the result of a series of experiments into three-dimensional letter form design inspired by 19th Century display and artistic printing types. However, instead of simply adding drop shadows or fake relief to create the illusion of depth, the designers at Jonathan Barnbrook’s studio took their cue from such diverse sources as the angles on the Stealth bomber and the visual conceit in the work of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher.” Stunning stuff, and I’ve always had a bit of a thing for Stealth bombers and Escher.
She’s got game.

“In praise of the chrome logos and lettering affixed to vintage automobiles and electric appliances — those unsung metal emblems and badges that are overlooked, forgotten, damaged, lost to time or the dump.” I absolutely adore these logos, and this site shows them off brilliantly.

A great resource of photos of gorgeous hand painted signs from around the world.
