On to the Next Great Adventure

It started off innocently enough, me on the internet booking a 14’ Uhaul and the necessary auto transport to tow my Honda. Then the warnings came from just about everyone. “You should have gone with Penske. I got stranded in Topeka with my Uhaul.” I laughed at them saying I’d be fine, and damnit Uhual is so much cheaper. There’s a reason they’re cheaperĀ was all they replied. My confidence was not shaken until I got a call from Hoppy, of Hoppy’s Mini Mart.

Now this is the story all about how…

In the immortal words of the Fresh Prince, “My life got flipped, turned upside down”. Things have been busy. I do have plans for 110am, and a more importantly more posts, but I’ve said it before so we’ll see. I’ve missed writing here these passed few months, so I am determined to get back to it. Tuesday they took my license plates, rather they took hers.

It was her first new car. Well, not her first new car, but her first new car. She’d driven a few older ones before she was married, and then got the station wagon. The “silver bullet” she called it, a grey Ford Taurus wagon. Then we got a Ford Aerostar—the stretch van. They were hers to drive, but this car, this car was hers.
