I really can’t believe it’s October already. I’ve been working at Blue Flavor now for a month and it only feels like a week. I’ve been busy, sure, but it’s been a fun type of busy and I’ve got high hopes for what the companies going to accomplish—good times. But, since I failed to keep writing this month I figured I’d do a quick recap:
Flew down to the Future of Web Apps Conference in San Francisco for work. It was great to hob nob with the web luminaries and I learned quite a bit from the talks. All in all a succesfull event.
I was able to extend the trip a little and go to Sean and Jasmyn’s condo warming party as well which was an added bonus. The air mattress I slept on was not.
In between jobs I was able to head down to Bend and visit my aunt to get some great fishing and hiking in and enjoy the last days of summer. It was only a week but damn it felt good to get away from the screen for a while.
On the way back, I stopped off in Portland and met up with Matt and saw Sean who was in town for yes, another wedding. Great to see the boys but unfortunately the car stereo syndicate was following me and I got my stereo jacked again. I’ve had my stereo stolen about 4 or 5 times in my life, so it wasn’t a huge surprise, but it doesn’t make you feel any less violated. What really irked me though was that, since I was traveling and had out of state plates, they popped my trunk and found my clothes, perscription glasses, and camera sitting there. Luckily insurance covered enough to replace my camera, which I just got on Friday so I’m stoked to start taking pictures again.
I’ve been sucked into the world of productivity loss: Fantasy Football. I’m 2-0 though and won the only game I cared about this season: Sean. It was a crushing victory demorilizing him to almost want to quit the league. One point will do that to a coach.
And now it’s October, it’s like Halloween’s right around the corner…
