AirVideo Menubar Icon

Replacement menubar icons for AirVideo.

If you haven’t tried AirVideo yet I highly recommend it. It’s a dead simple way to stream video content right to your iPad or iPhone. I installed it and was blown away with how easy it was.

One thing that annoyed me though is that the server software you install on your computer has a painfully ugly menu bar icon. So, I went ahead and created a new one really quick, and figured I’d share in case anyone else might be as obsessive about these things as I am.

Enjoy.

To install option-click on the application icon and select “Show Package Contents” and then replace the files in the Resources directory.

Have you considered to offer this replacement to the AirVideo guys? Would be great to have it as default!

Simon - I did, and they said they’d consider it. Hopefully it’ll show up in an update.

Would you like to create a app icon for AirVideo Server since the icon in the launchpad is also ugly…or in the application folder

still great to find this shared here.

It feels good to instantly find this, and feel like others share your opinion of esthetics…

I simply couldn’t live with the icon…

Hi folks,

I slightly updated the icons with some WIFI-like look, based on the originals supplied here… Thought it fits a bit better compared to the displays icon supplied by the system… (System Preferences - Displays - show displays in menu bar)

With the icons supplied here, the look is close to exacly the same to that one… these alternatives give it a more specific look…
